Who doesn’t love pumpkins?

Congrats, Carlisse

There’s a big sold sign in front of Closet Treasures in Grantham. But don’t worry, Carlisse hasn’t sold the business- she bought the building! If you remember, Closet Treasures – a consignment shop with clothes, accessories and toys – started out in one room. Then it expanded to the other room, and then it expanded upstairs. Clarisse thought it was about time she bought the building, since a monthly mortgage was significantly lower than monthly rent. If you’re driving along Route 10, be sure to stop in to see what she has. It’s a must-shop for folks with kids, but there’s a great selection of women’s clothing as well.

Now the kids can make some presents

Little Bear Pottery has opened a studio on New London, right next to Little Brook Gallery in Colonial Plaza. Now if you’ve read Kearsarge Magazine at all in the past two years, you’ll know that Cindy Best is an artist that works with kids with disabilities. She offers adaptive art classes to kids of all ages in her North Sutton home through A.R.T.S. Now she has a location in town – just in time for the holidays. Bring the kids in for an hour or two, and they’ll be able to create all types of gifts: a painted ceramic mug for dad, an ornament for mom, a plate for grandma and grandpa, to name a few. Cindy is super nice, the projects are super fun, so be sure to stop by the next time you’re in town.
